Hairless sphinx cats
Hairless cats, according to many people, did not become this way because of the work of breeders. This breed was mentioned back in ancient times. In ancient Egypt, these animals were worshiped and believed to have supernatural powers. Therefore, the temples were painted with images and decorated with figurines of these sacred animals.
In the USA in the 30s of the last century, an unusual group of hairless cats was shown at an exhibition. What was unusual about them was that, unlike modern breeds, they had longer whiskers and were covered with hair by winter. In the summer, the fur fell off by itself. Now this breed has disappeared.
The Donskoy Sphynx breed was created by accident. In the 80s, in the city of Rostov-on-Don, a woman named Elena picked up a kitten on the street, which was being bullied by children because it was bald. Elena came out of the kitten. Later, the descendants of this cat became the founders of this breed.
One of the most interesting facts is that a cat's body is very hot. And the body temperature reaches 42 degrees.
The difference from their counterparts is that these cats sweat. Sweat has an unusual smell and even color. Sweat has a brown tint and is somewhat reminiscent of a tan and leaves marks on light-colored furniture fabrics.
Sphynx cats, unlike other cats, love water treatments.
These animals tolerate the cold well, but still prefer the body and comfort of home.
The body of cats is covered with many folds. And even if they stretch, they still remain in small quantities.
By gender, only a cat can have a tortoiseshell color.
These cats are the only ones suitable for allergy sufferers, as they are a hypoallergenic breed.
Sphynxes are a very peaceful breed. I make contact easily and become very attached to people. You can train a cat so that it follows commands and responds to its name.
