For a long time, biologists could not establish a sound source when rumbling. Studies using the latest supers -sensitive sensors and microphones have made it possible to find out "where is the cat's motor." As it turned out, in the throat of ordinary cats (but not only tigers, lions and leopards) there are two mobile folds that work both on exhalation and in inspiration. These are a kind of “false” vocal cords that vibrate under the pressure of air. The larynx muscles enhance the sound that occurs from the movement of air from the lungs or from the external environment, that is, in both directions, in inspiration and on exhalation. Rumbling occurs as a result of rhythmic fluctuations in a cat larynx.

All cats are confident in the veracity of the statement that cats are able to treat. They treat not only warmth, that is, in the form of a live heating pad, but also with rumbling. In the same way, cats treat their relatives, and a man for a cat is part of his family. The sound frequency during rumbling ranges from 25 to 150Hz. Sound vibrations in this frequency range contribute to increase the density of bone tissue, healing and rapid fractures. This is proved by multiple research and practical experience, stories from the life of cats.

Cats sometimes rumble not with pleasure, as people believe, but for complacency and self -medication. Sphinx of cats is a natural apparatus for physiotherapy. Probably, thanks to this feature of its structure, cats have healthier bones than people or dogs.

We are grateful to our pets, and they are in response to our attention. Unfortunately, the cat cannot be cured of all diseases with a magic motor. Sometimes the intervention of veterinarians and the sensitive care of the hosts about the health of their favorites are required. Watching them, listening to their voices, we will notice trouble in time, easily overcome difficulties and will be happy together.
